At least 45 people, including 12 children, have been killed in a bus crash in Bulgaria near the capital of Sofia.
Officials say the vehicle caught fire either shortly before or after the crash, which happened at around 2 a.m. Seven passengers survived the crash, but have been transferred to a hospital with severe burns.
Bulgaria's interior minister Boris Rashkov visited the site -- he called it a "terrifying picture."
