White House: Downed objects 'were not UFOs'

The White House says it has not yet definitively identified some of the objects that were shot down over the US and Canada over the last several days.

Four craft, including a suspected Chinese spy balloon, were targeted by US fighter jets.

A White House spokesman said defence officials may be seeing more unidentified objects in US airspace because they are now searching for them.

The White House also denied Beijing’s claims the US was flying spy balloons over China.
