The temperature is rising, and there appears to be no relief in sight for the next few days in Delhi's searing heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius in parts of Delhi on Wednesday. A protracted dry period throughout the northern half of India is expected to cause comparable "extreme" hot weather conditions for the next four to five days, according to the Met Department.
