Prime Minister Boris Johnson leads tributes to the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip in the House of Commons.

Mr Johnson expressed his condolences to the Queen and the Royal Family and said the House of Commons and the nation would be grieving its "heartfelt thanks" for his service.

Speaking fondly of some of the duke's famous slip-ups, Boris Johnson says the duke was "at once politically incorrect and ahead of his time".

He says "the world did not hold it against him" because they "overwhelming understood" he was trying to break the ice and get people laughing.

Opening proceedings in the Commons, Speaker Lindsay Hoyle says the duke will be remembered for his "dignity" and his "support and loyalty" to the Queen.
