WATCH: Former Israeli fighter: 'We don't have the privilege' to let Hamas attack again

Tel Aviv resident Gil has protested the occupation of Palestinian territories. But after the attack on Israel last Saturday by Hamas, things changed, he told the PBS NewsHour's Amna Nawaz.

"I would be at the barricades protesting against bombing cities to protect innocent people if it wasn't for what happened on Saturday," he said. "But I'm sorry, we don't have the privilege to let this thing ever happen again."

More than 3,000 people have died in the week since Hamas attacked Israel, sparking retaliatory Israeli attacks and a vow that the country would “crush and eliminate” the militant group.
