Facing questions about his ability to run for another term in the White House, President Joe Biden said Thursday he'll assure Americans he can do the job the same way he assures himself: "And that is: am I getting the job done?"

In a NATO news conference where reporters repeatedly asked about calls from some Democrats for him to step aside, Biden defended his record and the work left to do, particularly on the economy, immigration and the war in Gaza.

"If I slow down, if I can't get the job done, that's a sign that I shouldn't be doing it. But there's no indication of that yet," Biden said.
