The 25-year-old Palestinian spoke with the PBS NewsHour’s Amna Nawaz by phone as she sought safety with her family. “Now, I’m doing nothing but waiting for death,” she said.
More than 3,000 people have died in the week since Hamas attacked Israel, sparking retaliatory Israeli attacks and a vow that the country would “crush and eliminate” the militant group.
