In a surprise “betrayal” to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin led his mercenary group out of Ukraine and into Rostov-on-Don to take control of the city’s military HQ on Friday.
According to the former Canadian ambassador to Russia, Jeremy Kinsman, the unexpected insurrection will “deplete Russian motivation,” in the war against Ukraine, which he claimed was already “pretty lousy.”
Ihor Michalchyshyn, of the Ukrainian Canadian congress, said that the advancement should allow several advantages for Ukraine and its armed forces.
