Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a highly choreographed Q&A session - the first event of its kind since the start of the war in Ukraine.

Responding to handpicked questions, Mr Putin claimed Russian forces are improving their position and "almost everyone is in an active stage of action" on the front line.

The president also promised no further mobilisation, warned of the dangers of AI, and promised to act on a host of domestic issues - from toll roads to the high price of eggs.
