Billionaire Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic launched its second commercial flight on Thursday following a successful first flight in June.
Passengers included 80-year-old Jon Goodwin, the second person with Parkinson’s to go into space, as well as Omaze winners Keisha Schahaff and Anastatia Mayers, the first mother-and-daughter duo to go to space.
The firm is among the few U.S.-based space companies, along with Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin and Elon Musk's SpaceX, to cater to the burgeoning demand for tourist space operations and space travel.
