A massive part of a glacier in Uttarakhand breaks away. Water levels in two fast flowing tributaries of the Alaknanda river rise dramatically; two hydro-power projects between Joshimath and Chamoli are destroyed. At least 10 are dead, more than 100 missing. Rescue operation is on as rescuers dig out survivors.
