U.S. President Joe Biden gave an update on the federal government's COVID-19 response and vaccination efforts on Wednesday, announcing that the country is set to cross 250 million vaccine shots in arms on Thursday, calling it a "consequential achievement" for the nation.

The president also touched upon vaccine usage for teenagers, stating the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is holding a final vote for use on adolescents.
