US: Migration crisis will 'destroy' New York City

More than 100,000 migrants have arrived on Manhattan Island over the past year. For context, about 25,000 have arrived in the UK over the same period.

Mayor of New York City Eric Adams said: “We’re getting no support on this national crisis. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City.”

Mayor Adams is a Democrat, the party of President Biden with whom he is now clashing over the issue of migration.
