US election: What do Trump’s supporters think about a Biden presidency?

Presidential elections can be revealing moments that convey the wishes of the American people to the next wave of elected officials. So far, the big reveal in the contest between President Donald Trump and former vice-president Joe Biden is the extent of the cavernous divide between Republican and Democratic America.

Trump supporters have been echoing the president’s baseless claims that the election has been rigged to favour Biden. Jeff Semple spoke with some of them in Detroit about their feelings about Biden, who appears poised to become the country’s next president.

Two weeks ahead of his 78th birthday, the veteran politician is preparing to potentially take over one of the toughest jobs in the world. Perhaps his most difficult job will be healing a divided nation. As Dawna Friesen reports, the former vice-president has faced plenty of hardships in his own life.
