Several major cities flagged as potential hotspots for rioting and mayhem in the face of the U.S. election are seeing protests, but much more mild than was predicted.

But experts say the current political climate is rife for partisan clashes and that U.S. President Donald Trump is fanning the flames with his rhetoric about voter fraud and calls to end ballot counting in certain states.
