Former U.S. ambassador to Canada, Bruce Heyman, said Wednesday in an interview with Global News’ Dawna Friesen that he believes Joe Biden is on track to win the White House but said it was a “hard-fought” campaign.
Heyman added that no matter who becomes the next U.S. President, the Democrats will need to take a hard look at the country to determine what it is that has made President Donald Trump so appealing to so many Americans.
He said that with the challenges facing the country, including the novel coronavirus and the economic challenges arising from the pandemic, the next president would need to unite the country and said that “is not going to be an easy task.”
