US delegation adjourns Sudan talks and mediation talks in Jeddah in limbo

The United States says it will stop mediation talks on the conflict in Sudan due to not reaching goals that were set out.
An American delegation has been holding talks in Jeddah with a team from Saudi. They've helped broker several ceasefires between Sudan's army and the Rapid Support Forces.

But fighting has continued despite the truce deals.
Heavy clashes continued throughout Sudan on Wednesday after a 72-hour ceasefire between the warring parties expired.
There were expectations a new ceasefire would be agreed upon for the Muslim Eid holiday happening later this month.
