US autoworkers strike: Anxiety grows as Canadian workers could go on strike next

With about 13,000 workers from Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis on strike in the U.S., fears are mounting 5,000 Ford workers in Ontario could follow suit.

Those employees are set to walk off the job if their contract expires at the end of the day. Unifor, the employees’ union, says some of its focuses include increasing wages and improving pensions.
