United States President Joe Biden has made history by joining striking autoworkers on the picket line in Detroit.

Biden told members of the Auto Workers Union that they deserve the pay rise they are asking for.

He said they should be rewarded for the sacrifices they made when car manufacturers were struggling in the financial crisis.
