The studying and exhibiting of human remains and sacred objects taken from Native American graves and sites have been a source of bitter relations between many cultural institutions and Indigenous tribes. After facing criticism, the University of California, Berkeley is working to repatriate many of those artifacts. Jeffrey Brown reports for our arts and culture series, "CANVAS."
