And the chancellor has announced a new fund, worth £4 billion, which he says will put into action the government's election mantra of levelling up the UK economy.
Mr Sunak said the money would "fund the infrastructure of everyday life" in an attempt to improve standards of living in disadvantaged areas around the country.
