After four failed attempts, the UN Security Council has adopted a resolution calling for urgent pauses in fighting in Gaza and humanitarian corridors - to allow aid through.
Nearly six weeks into Israel's bombardment of the strip - diplomats were able to find common ground by focusing on Palestinian children.
