UN: More than one million Afghan children to suffer severe malnutrition

The United Nations children’s agency estimates 1.1 million Afghan children under the age of five are expected to suffer from severe malnutrition in 2022.
UNICEF says it appears the number of malnourished children in the country has doubled in the past year.
Many states imposed have new sanctions on Afghanistan since the Taliban took power, crippling its economy.
