Israeli air strikes hit a residential block in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza. That's where thousands have evacuated, heeding Israel’s warning, which suggested they would be safe from bombardment there.
Based on the origins of the UN's Genocide Convention, genocide is considered the most heinous of crimes. Prosecuting it is incredibly difficult.
