World Health Organization officials who are in the Gaza Strip to assess the humanitarian damage after Israel's 11-day bombing campaign say the occupied Palestinian territory has "staggering health needs".
The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross appealed for more than $16m to help the people in Gaza.
The attacks killed at least 254 Palestinians and flattened many homes, schools, hospitals and other infrastructure.
