Maha Hussaini, from Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor and a resident of Gaza, has told Al Jazeera that people in the besieged enclave experienced one of the harshest nights in two years.
“Bombs are targeting several neighbourhoods. We feel the vibrations and we hear the bombs rocking neighbourhoods. We are bearing the brunt of this attack. The explosions are rocking every place in Gaza and no place is safe,” she said.
Hussaini added that some Palestinians have been grabbing their luggage and trying to evacuate their homes.
“But the crisis here is that, in Gaza, there are no shelters or tunnels for protection. There is nowhere to go,” she said.
