The UK defence secretary says Typhoon fighter jets will not be sent to Ukraine in the immediate future.

But Ben Wallace added: "The one thing I have learnt in this conflict is you can't rule anything in and rule anything out."

He also said the UK was ramping up arms production and was not worried about the state of UK stockpiles.

Sky's Deborah Haynes reported on Thursday that Whitehall sources had told her defences bosses were concerned that the UK had miscalculated how much ammunition was needed to fight modern wars.
