The Prime Minister has told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy the room the two leaders were standing in at Chequers was the same room where Winston Churchill made many of his famous speeches during the Second World War.

Rishi Sunak then said that "in the same way" the "bravery and fortitude" of Mr Zelenskyy and Ukraine was "an inspiration to us all".

Mr Zelenskyy said the UK had sent a lot of support already, adding "we are thankful from all of our hearts".
