Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says last week's attack on the town of Desna resulted in 87 deaths. Desna is 55 kilometres north of Kyiv.
In his nightly address, President Volodymyr Zelensky said it was time for Ukraine’s western allies to stop placing limits on lethal support.
Meanwhile, communities around Desna are still shaken by an attack more than a week ago on Soviet-era army base, that resulted in Ukraine’s single largest loss of military life so far in this war.
Al Jazeera’s Zein Basravi reports from Desna on a community shaken by the deaths.
