A British man who has travelled to the frontline in Ukraine says wearing the UK flag on his shoulder has given Ukrainians fighters hope and the confidence to know they've not been forgotten by the rest of the world.

He told Sky's Alex Crawford that he'd seen ambulances hit by Russian-calibre bullets and was in a children's hospital when a Russian artillery shell landed close by, blowing out the windows. He said he couldn't stand by and see war crimes being carried out on ordinary people.
