Parts of the United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS) are again under severe strain this week.
For the first time, junior doctors and consultants will be striking together.
Emergency departments in several hospitals have been affected. Thousands of surgical operations will be postponed.
It is part of a months-long dispute over pay.
But some patients are also prepared to put up with the strike if it helps doctors win higher wages.
