मुस्लिम समुदाय के कुछ लोग UCC का विरोध करते दिखाई दिए, तो कुछ मुस्लिम धर्मगुरुओं ने उत्तराखंड सरकार के लाए गए बिल का समर्थन भी किया। ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम जमात के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष मौलाना शहाबुद्दीन ने धामी सरकार के इस ऐतिहासिक कदम का स्वागत किया। जबकि, अलीगढ़ के मौलाना चौधरी इब्राहिम हुसैन ने पूरे देश में UCC लागू करने की मांग करते नज़र आए।

Some people from the Muslim community were seen opposing the UCC, while some Muslim religious leaders also supported the bill brought by the Uttarakhand government. National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Shahabuddin welcomed this historic step of the Dhami government. Whereas, Maulana Chaudhary Ibrahim Hussain of Aligarh was seen demanding implementation of UCC in the entire country.
