Peru's Congress has voted to remove President Martin Vizcarra from office in an impeachment trial over corruption allegations.
He is accused of accepting bribes worth hundreds of thousands of dollars from companies that won public works contracts.
The vote came during his second Congressional trial in less than two months but he denies all of the allegations against him.
Vizcarra has popular public support because he introduced an anti-corruption drive in Peru.
Al Jazeera’s Mariana Sanchez reports from Lima, Peru.
