Donald Trump is due to appear in a New York court on Tuesday, where he will become the first former United States president to face criminal charges.
The details of the charges are under seal but the grand jury that voted for the indictment was investigating a payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election campaign.
