The U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) heard arguments Thursday on whether former U.S. president Donald Trump is eligible to run again for presidency in the 2024 election. Following the hearing, Trump held a press conference expressing his hopefulness on the outcome.

“I thought it was a very beautiful process,” Trump said. “I hope that democracy in this country will continue, because right now, we have a very tough situation with all of the radical-left ideas, with the weaponization of politics."

Trump went on to blame U.S. President Joe Biden for being behind “every one” of the “phony hoax” court cases that he is currently involved in, adding that the Democrats were interfering in the upcoming 2024 election.

Answering questions from reporters, Trump later claimed that there is “nothing more important to a presidency than immunity," “because they have to be free to make decisions” without having to worry about being indicted after leaving the White House.
