Trump article of impeachment formally delivered to the United States Senate | FUL

U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin and his fellow impeachment managers walked on Monday from the House of Representatives to the Senate to deliver the article of impeachment charging former president Donald Trump with "inciting an insurrection" so that the Congressional chamber could begin a trial.

The House passed the article of impeachment with bipartisan support on Jan. 13, charging him in connection to his supporters storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

Senators will be sworn in as jury members of the trial, with opening arguments set to begin the week of Feb. 8. after leaders came to an agreement on a timeline.
