A truck hauling ground beef burst into flames on a highway in Charlotte, North Carolina after it crashed into a concrete barrier, officials said.

Footage released by the Charlotte Fire Department shows the vehicle in flames, and crews working to put out the blaze on Interstate 77 N.

The driver escaped the crash and was rushed to hospital to treat injuries, the fire department said.
