Trans women will not be held in female jails in Scotland

Transgender prisoners who have hurt women or girls will not be held in female jails unless there are "exceptional" circumstances, under new guidelines for Scotland.

It follows a public outcry over the case of Isla Bryson who raped two women whilst known as Adam Graham but was then initially housed in an all-female prison.
