Tory MP with historical links to slave trade urged to pay compensation

Richard Drax, a Conservative MP, is one of the wealthiest in the House of Commons and recently inherited a sugarcane plantation, which is still being farmed.

The South Dorset MP, whose ancestors established sugar plantations farmed by enslaved people in Barbados, has held talks with politicians there on reparations, but no agreement has been reached.
