Guyana's president has called for an apology from the UK over its role in the transatlantic slave trade after meeting Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali said that a decision calling for reparations over "one of the greatest atrocities in human history" must be taken by all Caribbean nations.
