Police say an exhaustive investigation has helped them identify the remains of a little girl found last spring in a Toronto dumpster.
They say the girl is four-year-old Neveah Tucker.
Police said they believe Neveah died in 2021, just shy of her fifth birthday,
Insp. Hank Idsinga of the Toronto Police Service’s Missing Person’s Unit said an investigation is underway into the circumstances leading up to her death. No charges have been laid, he said.
Idsinga said a pathologist was not able to identify a cause of death and as such, police have not deemed her death a homicide.
