It's been a year-and-a-half since Mario Castillo was taken off a ventilator at a Toronto hospital after spending nine weeks intubated, fighting COVID-19. This week, he returned to that hospital to say thank you.

He was the hospital's first patient with COVID-19 that needed intubation and at one point they were not sure if he was going to make it. So to see him return to give his thanks was a morale boost for the medical professionals who helped him.

Caryn Lieberman speaks with Castillo and the doctors and nurses who treated him about what this moment meant for them.
