The ancestral village of Kamala Harris' grandfather in Tamil Nadu's Thiruvarur district is keeping track of the US election results. Many around the village are tuned to their television sets hoping to see Kamala and her Democratic Party win. Yesterday, villagers at Thulasendrapuram performed special puja for her victory at the local temple, the home for Kamala's family deity. NDTV's J Sam Daniel Stalin caught up with Vandayar family in the adjoining village as they kept track of the developments in the United States.
