Thousands of ethnic Armenians have been flooding out of Nagorno Karabakh, fleeing what they fear will come after Azerbaijan's forces seized control of the territory.

The disputed enclave lies within - and is internationally recognised as part - of Azerbaijan but has been administered by the ethnic Armenian majority there.

Armenian officials have been helping to evacuate displaced people across the border - while western leaders urged Azerbaijan to respect human rights and international law.
