Rainbow flags filled the streets of Bangkok on Friday as members of the LGBTQ2+ community kicked off Pride Month.

The celebrations come as the country inches closer to officially recognizing same-sex marriages, marking a significant step forward for equality in the country.

Thailand is poised to become the third country in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage and the final reading of the bill in senate is scheduled for June 18.
