Ray O’Donnell immediately suspected an intruder. Just not one with four hooves. The Hampton, N.B., man had returned home from grocery shopping with his wife when they noticed a broken window. They called police. But after spying a deer in his basement, he quickly cancelled that call and instead reached out to the province’s department of natural resources. They corralled the animal and eventually sent it scampering back outside.
