The Maldives government has banned Israeli passport holders in response to public anger over the Gaza conflict. President Mohamed Muizzu has also appointed a special envoy to assess the Palestinian needs and to launch a fundraising campaign. Israel has recommended that its citizens avoid any travel to the country.
