Ontario’s health-care system is being crushed under the weight of an unrelenting third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

There are more than 2,287 people in hospital in Ontario, including 818 patients in intensive care – a new record in the province.

Critically ill patients in COVID-19 hot spots across the province are being transferred to make room for new patients, as hospitals reach a breaking point.
