Ontario halting elective surgeries as hospitals flooded with patients from 3rd COVID-19 wave

For months Ontarians have been warned a third wave of COVID-19 could be the worst, and now hospitals are full again with COVID patients, with over two-thirds of them on ventilators.

The province reported over 4,000 cases of COVID-19 on Monday, and Premier Doug Ford announced schools will be closed until further notice after April break.

Mike Drolet is taking a look at the current situation in Ontario hospitals with elective surgeries halted once again and GTA pediatric rooms closing to make room for COVID-19 patients.
