It’s also a market with potentially huge returns, given its global fan base. Nevertheless, it’s still cheaper to buy a U.K. football team than a big pro-sports franchise in the U.S. With all of that in mind, U.S. investors have been snapping up storied U.K. teams in a hunt for value on the pitch.
